Ruthie is 8 weeks old!

Ruthie is starting to show personality and smile! I love it!
She also turns when she hears her momma or daddy's voice. It is wonderful!

We want Ruth and Mags to get to know each other better, so here we are sitting them together and letting Ruthie pet Maggie.

Our 2 girls!
Ruthie took the pacifier for just a few seconds and here she is. Also check out the cute little Winnie the Pooh outfit!

I got Ruthie smiling some during a diaper change

This is what our precious child looks like when she is upset.

This is our adorable child sleeping. So peaceful!
All swaddled up and I highly recommend "Happiest Baby on the Block" to all mothers. My friend Missy showed it to me. We tried the swaddling and other "4 S's" and Ruthie is now sleeping peacefully for up to 6 hours most nights! Momma and Daddy feel great!
More smiling! Adorable if I do say so myself!

Tummy Time to help strengthen the neck muscles. My baby may be small, but she is strong!
Look at those beautiful eyes!
Listening to Momma read to her
We go to the Dr. on Friday for Ruthie's 2 MONTH APPOINTMENT! Wow! We also get our 2 month shots that day so Daddy will be going for moral support for Momma and Ruthie Roo.
We will let you all know progress on Miss Ruth's weight and stuff when we return home on Friday! I can't wait to see how my baby girl has grown in the last 2 months. I sure have enjoyed watching her grown and I am excited for what we are learning all together as a family of 3! Fun stuff people, We love it! I feel so blessed and love our new life! I couldn't even imagine life without Ruth Sara Stout! We are just so in love with her and even more in love with each other, if that is possible! (and I think Matt would agree.)

Ruthie is 7 weeks old!

Ruthie is 7 weeks old today. I cannot believe that in 10 short days my baby girl will be a whole 2 months old! Time is flying!

Missy gave us an outfit that they couldn't return to the store and already had one for Sophie. So on Friday at small group we dressed the girls alike in their outfits and hat and booties from Aunt Susan. Here are the pics:

Ruthie was not happy, she gets fussy about 6 or 7 every night and then calms down by 9 or so

Finally, to get Ruthie to calm down Matt and Bob swung the car seat as if it was the swing. Great job guys!

Ruthie is now wearing her 0-3 month clothing

Here are some cute pics of Ruthie finally wearing some of her 0-3 month clothes. This is a pair of pjs from my friend Paula!

Chelsea, a friend who used to be in the counseling program with me, and Kennedy came to visit. Kennedy is now a big sister. Here mommy had a little girl on Tuesday and Chelsea is here helping with Kennedy. Baby Avery Cate was 6 lbs and 5 oz and 18 inches long. That means that Avery was born exactly 6 weeks after Ruthie and was the same weight and only a half an inch longer than Ruthie. So fun! Can't wait to meet Avery soon!
Chelsea was Kennedy's babysitter before I took over. Now Kennedy is a big girl and goes to preschool! She has gotten so big and grown up! Kennedy also picked out that lamb and it sings "Jesus Loves Me". She was so excited to give it to Ruthie!
I finally got my Valentine's day present, rain boots, from my husband. Aren't they cute? Finally, a reason to be excited about rain!

Ruthie is 6 weeks old and Roadtrip to TN

First things first, Ruthie is up to 7 lbs and 3 oz! Ruthie gained 6 oz in the last week and we are so excited. So today, on her 6 week birthday, my baby girl is finally gaining weight like we would like and momma is still cutting out the dairy products. She has been eating better, pooping less, having less blood in her diaper, and in a better mood than even before.
Also, I went to my midwife and am healed from childbirth. yay!

Next, we went to Tennessee this past weekend to visit Matt's family and more importantly to meet Ruthie's great great Mamaw Stout. Here are pictures:

See momma does hold Ruthie!

Such a happy baby!

Ruthie found her thumb and I don't know how I feel about it. I am not sure how I am supposed to take away the thumb when it is time to quit sucking it. Caroline would be proud though!
Cousin Rand and Ruthie (he was afraid he was going to drop her. he didn't)
Don't worry Greene/Smith family! We will be in GA in just a few short weeks. Actually, we leave for GA a month from today! If you live in GA and want to hang out with us, let us know. We are going to Macon so you will have to come there, but we will try to make time for everyone if you you make the trip to see us!

Thanks again for all the prayers for Ruthie's weight gain and bloody diaper! Praise Jesus we seem to be out of the woods!
