Baby Teapot update

Today, according to the doctors calculations, I am at 12 weeks and 5 days! That means that in about 3 days I will be in the 2nd trimester! Hopefully, that means less sickness and more energy. So everyone pray with me right now: Please, dear Jesus, make it better for Sara Beth in the 2nd trimester!!!!!
Today was our monthly appointment. Unlike some of my friends, I refuse to tell you how much weight I gain or loose, so just pretend that I am loosing weight all will be ok.
As for Teapot, he/she is healthy! We got to hear the heartbeat today with the doppler monitor. It was the coolest moment since seeing that little plus sign a few months ago! According to the nurse, Teapot has a strong and consistent heartbeat of 172. This is pretty high, but I had a milk shake and a bowl of fruit earlier so that may have raised the heartbeat a bit. I am also craving lots of beef so who knows if this will be a boy or girl! I'm so excited though to know that Teapot is healthy and growing well.
As for me, I went to dance class tonight and due to some changed in my upper body it was a little harder to do certain things. I don't see this dancing thing getting easier, but it sure it fun!
Also, while at my sister's wedding (which I need to blog about), my stomach got that hard pregnant thing and everything is shifting. It is so weird and pretty much happened over night! I have a feeling that this will not be the last time that my body will change fast.
That's all for now. Now we wait 2 more months to find out if Teapot is a he or she. Please place your bets below! However, be aware, no money is available for the winner, it is all in fun. I mean, we are about to have a baby so we can't be giving out money all willy-nilly!

Baby items

So over the last 4 weeks (as of tomorrow) when we found out we were pregnant we have had lots of blessings come our way. First, there is the car seat, stroller, and base travel system. We got it at a yard sale for a 4th of original price and it is only 2 years old and in great shape. There are a few spots, but we will get out the Oxi-clean and go to work!

Next, on the Asbury Website people sell and give away things. Well one couple was giving away lots of stuff as you can see below.
Here is a bouncy seat.
Then a play station that also folds out flat on the floor and has lots of toys to add to it that Teapot can enjoy and so can Teapot 2 and maybe 3.
An Amby Baby- it's like a hammock for the baby. We will have to try it out, but since it was free we will take it, try it, and if we don't like it, send it off to someone else. you can check out more info here: http://www.babyhammocks.com/mbh.htm

Then a bag of toys, 18 cloth diapers (I'm still not sure how I feel about using used cloth diapers, but they were free!!!), a Maya Wrap, and a diaper bag. ALL FREE!! Seriously! So exciting.

Finally, here are Caroline, Madelyn, and Silas posing with their coloring books they picked out to use on the plane ride to California. Silas had surgery to "get him an ear". Silas was born with an ear deformity that causes him to have hearing problems, so the doctors in LA are fixing his ear so he may hear better. And in December, they will be returning to have surgery on his left ear. Pray for him and a fast recovery. His parents have been giving updates on a blog and facebook and he is in great spirits, but still has to rest and heal. He will be 4 in September, and so you can imagine how hard it will be to for his parents to try to keep him calm and not upset that he has to stay in a stroller if they go out. So pray for his parents and 2 sisters too, please!
I Love LOVE love, this picture. It really shows all 3 of their personalities!

And we present...

Little Baby Teapot (short and Stout) will be arriving in early January. The suspense has been killing me! Most of you know I am an open book and like to tell almost everything about my life so imagine what the last 3 weeks and 5 days have been like with us knowing and trying so hard not to tell. Well we are telling now!! I am 10 weeks and 2 days and am due on January 6th (or 7th, or 8th). Who knows really? I guess Teapot will come when Teapot wants, right? Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure:

This would be my husband and the soon to be father at the first doctors appointment holding a vagina. (shaking head as I type this out) That kid is going to love him!
This is me at the doctors appointment with my goodie bag of pregnancy/baby stuff. I'm excited!

Finally, the two tests I took. Yes, I took one and just couldn't believe it so I took another one! As you can see there is no denying it. They are both positive and don't worry, I love to keep everything, but threw these AWAY! Gross!

Life

Here are a few things to catch you up on the lives of the Stouts:
1. Some one was giving away these rocking chairs. They aren't that pretty, but we had been talking about wanting some for a while so we took them. Now we can enjoy the warm weather and sit on our porch on the peaceful Kentucky summer evenings.

2. It's been raining A LOT. Here a rainbow that appeared last week. It span the whole sky. It was amazing and beautiful!
3. Last weekend we took a trip to TN to see Matt's parents and great grandmother who is in a nursing home for a broken hip. Anyway, on our way home we let Maggie sit in the back of the car and just relax without being cramped in the front on the floor board. She loved it, but eventually wanted to get to the font with her parents. Here she is jumping up to see what was going on in the front. She kept doing this most of the trip. Isn't she cute?
4. We kept Ebenezer for a few hours Tuesday afternoon. Here are some pictures of our fun time together! Look at those eyes!
Having fun with Matt.
That's all for now...
