Cold Weather Blues

Friends, I've decided to start doing a journal comic again from time to time. Rather than make my own site for them, I'm going to contribute to this blog with my journal comics. That way people who check this blog can hear from both me and Sara Beth. Be forewarned, my posts will be tons more nerdy and eclectic than hers ever will be.

I'm sick of wintery weather. In Georgia, I thought living in snow would be a winter wonderland, but now I feel it's more like Hoth from Star Wars. I WISH I had a Tauntaun to ride to work!

Nothing new really

Well people (all 2 of you that might read this) nothing really new here. We are just busy with school and enjoying a little time together.
I'm excited to begin ballet and ballet beyond dance class in a week from Tues! It is going to awesome! I'm so very excited!!!!!
Also, WICKED was so very great! I am so excited we went and enjoyed it so much that I can't wait until the next time I get to go!
Finally, Matt just informed me that he is going to start posting on this blog so finally what is supposed to be our blog will finally be OUR BLOG! So that is something to look forward to.
oh and one more thing. More puzzles to come as soon as we get a little free time and find new ones we haven't done yet.

WICKED!

Last night, Matt's parents called to let us know that they want to come this weekend and take us to see WICKED in Dayton, OH. I am so excited. I have wanted to go see WICKED for so very long. Matt has talked about this musical the whole time I have known him, and told me how great it is. I can't wait. It is going to be so much fun!

So thanks Kathy and Steve! This is going to awesome!

Snow again...

Apparently, getting all of this snow is unusual...for the second year in a row!!!!!! Kentucky has gotten crazy snow storms in the past year and a half that we have lived here. Today it is just insane outside! This is the like the 4th or 5th heavy snow we have gotten this winter.
I spent most of the day at the seminary getting work done so I would have to drive very little in the snow. I did go to work this morning for 2 hours, but then that was it. The snow just keeps blowing in your face and hurts! We also almost wrecked on the way here this morning only going 5 mph! I decided to stick around and let Matt drive us home.
Anyway, in other news that I forgot yesterday, I am going to begin dance lessons again in March. Classes are on Tues nights and right now I have a Tues night class for 3 more weeks. After that is over, off to dance class for 2 hours each Tues night. The classes are very cheap which is an even greater blessing. It is less than $5 per hour of class! For those who don't know that is almost unheard of!!!!
Also, here is a funny post I saw on facebook. Maybe I am just a therapy/counseling/psychology nerd, but I think this is hilarious...

In other exciting news, Matt's mom and possible dad are coming for the day on Saturday. That will be exciting. I guess we need to get lots of work accomplished before then so that we can enjoy all of our time with them especially b/c it will be a very short visit!
Well, off to get dinner cooked, the house straightened up, spend a few minutes with the husband, and then off to class at 6:15 until 9.

Valentine's Day 2010

This year Valentine's day was really fun. We woke up and exchanged gifts (pictures below). Then we went to the early service at church. After church we decided to beat the crowd to lunch and a movie. So we got our tickets for Valentine's Day and then off to Red Robin for lunch. It was so very yummy! Then we were off to the movie. I enjoyed it, but Matt did not enjoy it as much. He enjoyed listening more to the ladies sitting next to us that were laughing really hard at everything in the movie. We then went home and spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out. I wrote a paper and Matt wrote/drew a comic. My amazing husband also went back out in the snow to get me a blizzard! How awesome!

Matt also got me a 30 min massage at this place here in Wilmore. I think I will save it until the middle or end of the semester when things get really stressful and crazy.

I got Matt the last Peanuts Comic books that have come out, but he had not gotten yet.

It was a very fun day. We also used a gift card at Target to get 2 seasons of Reba and 2 seasons of Greatest American Hero.

Also, the semester is going to be a dooozzzzzyyyy for us both. I already have a paper due Tues, 12 chapters to read, and a group project in a week and a half. Oh yes and an Inductive Bible Study lesson that is supposed to take....5 hours!!!! Oh and we have one of those every week and as they get harder they are supposed to take longer. I know I am complaining, but seriously, that is a lot of work, people!!!

The semester has begun and it is going to be a busy and crazy one! We are into our 4th full semester and only 2 more to go after this one...hopefully!
Stay tuned for Valentine's pictures to come later in the weekend. We are planning to have lunch and go to a movie after church. We want to beat the crowds that will be out that night. We will probably spend the evening watching a movie at home and I'm pretty sure I will talk Matt into some ice cream too!

Here are pictures of the new house. It is a duplex and very nice. We are not completely unpacked, but you will get the idea. These are really for my sister who asked me for pictures and I am just getting around to posting. I will post more when we are unpacked and have stuff on the walls.
