So on Wed afternoon we went outside and saw water covering the parking lot and it has not been raining. So we were curious as to what it was but didn't really think anything of it until Thurs morning. On Thurs morning it smelled awful! turns out the sewage was over flowing IN OUR FRONT YARD! I called over to our landlord's and by the end of the evening they had people out to work on it and as a matter of fact those nice men are still working to fix our sewage overflow but at least the smell is finally gone.
Since the sewage water was all over the ground we had to give Mags a bath. Here she is in the tub with her bone. It is the only way we can get her to stay in the tub. Our poor Maggs has been through it the last few weeks. 2 weeks ago she had a staph infection, yeast infection, urine scald (I will leave it at that), and was up to 19.4 lbs due to getting into the trash and eating some squash, watermelon, and coffee grinds. Anyway, I took her back yesterday and she lost 1.3 lbs and the staph infection is gone. Yay! Maggie has been through it since we got her, but we love her anyway!
Here is the second to last puzzle we are doing for now. We are planning to do one more and then take a break to focus on school since we start back in just 9 days.
Today we went to Boyd's Orchard for Silas's birthday! It was lots of fun to watch the kids play and in the next month or so we are going to go back hopefully and pick apples! I am really loving the Groth family even though last week Caroline got sick and I spend all Thurs morning cleaning up throw up. I didn't get sick and I love those kids so it was no big deal! So pretty much this week was spend with gross situations! All in all it was a great week and we completed one puzzle. Yeah I know we are nerds, but fun nerds, right?

yep, more puzzles
We have now done 2 more puzzles since the last post. The hardest and the easiest.
This would be the hardest!
And this is the easiest puzzle we have done.
Our anniversary is in less than a month. 2 whole years and it has just flown by. We are planning a trip to Matt's best friend, Billy's Wedding in Oct. We are going to go to New Orleans for one night and then to Houston/Galveston for 3 nights and enjoy the beach and the wedding. It will be a late anniversary vacation and we are excited. Other than puzzles and planning a trip we are working. That is it and we are happy with our boring lives!

Puzzles, flowers, curtains, Lexington Legends, and jobs
So first things first, last week was a long week and this is what I came home to. Isn't my husband wonderful?
On to other things, Matt and I have a new hobby...Puzzles. A few months ago, our friends, the Bevils, decided to start doing puzzles. Well, we decided to try it out and loved it! Since mid-May we have done 5 and are working on our 6th one. We also have 2 more to work on when we finish this one. And don't worry, I will put up pics of those also! Also, these are the hometown collection from Walmart and Target. However, if you get them at Walmart, you will get normal puzzle pieces, but if you get them from Target they come in really weird shapes. So if you are like me and like to have some continuity, then go to Walmart and spend an extra $1 per puzzle.
This was the first puzzle and took us about 2 weeks b/c we were also in the middle of finishing up the semester.
This was our 2nd puzzle of Hollywood
We forgot to take a pic of the final product, but here is the picture of the box. Also, it was the first one with crazy pieces.
This one had the weirdest pieces of all. We couldn't even tell sometimes if pieces were end pieces or not.
This one is my favorite, probably since it has a beach and lighthouse. I would love to live in one of those houses!
Next, after almost 2 years of marriage, I decided we needed curtains. Well, I had wanted curtains for over a year, but just couldn't find orange ones that I liked. So, my friend Amy and I went out on a search for orange fabric to match our accent pillow on my and Matt's bed. Well, we found it! And this morning, I make them. Below is a picture of our bed room and then a picture of the curtains. I know they are nothing special, but I am so excited that I was able to make them. Also, we may get better sleep since we can keep the sunlight out in the mornings.
Last night we got to spend the evening with our friends Matt and Amy at the Lexington Legends game. It was fun, but the Legends lost. However, we saw the game for $2.50 each, split parking at $1.50 per couple, and had 25 cent hotdogs (2 for me and 4 for Matt) coming to grand total of $8! Also we got free chick-fil-a sandwiches when we left so really it only cost us $5! ha
Lastly, Matt is now just working at the Semiary Post Office. They are going to give him 27.5 hours a week and so he is just going to work at SPO only. He will miss Tastebuds, but will be able to have a more consistent schedule and will not ever have to work 10 hours days again (hopefully). So we are excited about that. I am still looking for another 10-15 hours job. I have applied for multiple jobs at the Semiary so lets hope that works out. I will let all you faithful bloggers know soon!

New friends
So a little over a week ago, I was a little concerned that I was not going to have a job in the fall. Well...meet one of the new families I will be a nanny for in the fall, the Groth family. Silas (will be 3 in Sept) is in the top left, Madelyn (6) is in the top right, and Caroline (4 and a half as she reminds me often) is in the bottom. Today was my second day (first full day) babysitting the 3 lovely children! I am sure there will be lots more pictures and stories to come.
PS I'm sure you are all wondering how I took with picture if our camera is destroyed. Well, I took out my old camera that works about 10% of the time and was able to get this one. Hopefully, it will hold us over until we get a new camera.
