Here are more pictures of the ice/snow storm. This was the second day of the storm. If you would like to see more pictures you can visit facebook at this link:

Here are the Stouts in the snow!

The is my favorite picture I took today. You can see the berries covered in ice and icicles hanging from them and the snow covered over the top.
This is my 2nd favorite.

That may look like snow...but it is ICE

We have seen a good bit of snow since we moved here, and I have definitely seen sleet before. I however have never seen an icing over such as this. The parking lot is a lot like a skating rink right now, the cars have ice all over them and we had to scrape it off so that tomorrow we will not have to scrape off 2 layers of ice. Icicles are everywhere and it is very slippery. All the plants as you can see in a picture below are so covered in ice they look like ice sculptures. Enjoy the pictures!

Mamaw Mynatt and new hair color

This weekend we went to Knoxville to visit Matt's family for his birthday. It was very fun and relaxing. Below is a picture of Matt's Mamaw Mynatt. She will be 100 years old in July and is a very beautiful and amazing lady who does not look 99 at all!

I also decided to lighten my hair as you can (or maybe cannot tell) from the picture below. I was expecting it to be a little lighter brown, but it didn't work.

Poor Duncan, we will miss him

Today, I went to the bathroom around 9 am and saw Duncan laying funny and I tried to pick him up. He was not moving much and breathing heavy. I laid him in the kitchen on the floor and tried to get him to walk and he couldn't. I called his previous owner who came over and said she thought he was dying. We called the vet and they said the same. Around 10:15 Duncan took his last breath. It was very sad and we miss him very much even though we only had him 3 months. Please pray for Beth, Duncan's previous owner. She is really having a hard time with his death. She had him for almost 15 years and so it was hard for her to watch him pass.

Matt's 25th Birthday

Well today is Matt's 25th birthday! We began the day with this....

Snow was everywhere. We took Duncan out and played in the snow for a bit. We made snow angels and attempted to make a snow man, but it was just too powdery. I know poor us!

Here is a second picture of the beautiful snow cover.

This is Matt and I at the Mongolian Grill. It was amazing and so much fun (if you haven't been to one you should go-www.gomongo.com)!
You can also see the lovely sweatshirt I bought Matt for his birthday. He has been asking for it for about 5 months now and I finally bought it. If you cannot tell it says, "The Loch Ness Monster Adventure Club: Finding Answers, Ignoring Facts" and he is very excited about it.

Here are some of our lovely friends that joined us for dinner: Matt and Amy Grubbs, Scott Grow, Mike Wooton, and Missy and Jonathon Bevil.

And here is a funny picture!

SOLD!

This is me being really sad because we sold my car. I love that car!

However, it is a great thing for us. We don't use both cars hardly ever. We haven't needed both cars at one time since I stopped working in Lexington. We can now pay off a credit card and put the rest into savings like the smart and mature adults that we are! We are so blessed that someone wanted to buy the car so soon after posting it and for the price we wanted. All our praying really paid off. We are both very excited. Now you can pray that we learn to share our one family car!

Help us out!

We are selling one of our cars! We are trying to simplify and since we both walk to class, and Matt walks to work, we don't need 2 cars. We will also save on car insurance, will be able to start paying off loans, and put a little into savings (hopefully). Please pray that God will provide a buyer and they will be able to pay close to what we want for the car.

Stout/Green Weekend 2009

Last weekend, January 3-5, Matt's best friend, Paul, Paul's little sister, Mary, and Matt's sister, Sarah, all came to visit. We spent the weekend watching tv and movies, eating, went out to High Bridge (the highest bridge in the US in 1877), took them to our favorite coffee shop (Coffee Times in Lexington), rocking out to Beyonce's new CD ("Put a ring on it" was in most of our heads all weekend), and there was lots of other fun.

Here it High Bridge from one angle

This is a picture of Paul, Sarah, Mary, and Matt

This is my lovely sister-in-law

Checking out some facts about High Bridge, you should also check it out online: http://www.jessamineco.com/tourism/highbridge.htm

The girls on the trains...we were all 3 very excited about playing on the trains and the playground

We took turns having on person stand on the right side while another person jumped on the left side and the person on the right would fly into the air...don't tell our moms, they would all be very dissappointed and probably scold us!

A picture of Matt, Sarah, and Mary at Coffee Times- our favorite coffee shop in KY!

A new picture of our child, Duncan. We love him more and more each day and I think he feels the same way!

Ringing in the New Year 2009

We rang in the New Year at the Bevil's apartment with the Bevils, the Wootons, and our new friends the Bellingers. We had some fabulous food as you can see below (missing is the amazing cheese dip that I made).

The Food

Then we played Would You Rather and Catch Phrase!

This is our first attempt at a picture...i love being licked

That is much better!

A group shot. From left to right we have the Wootons, the Bellingers, the Stouts, and the Bevils.
Silly picture...we were supposed to make a 2009, but only Val and Stephanie (first 2 on left) got the memo.

So HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
