Update on moving

We took a break from packing to do a puzzle. This may be my favorite so far. Now we are out of puzzles so we will have to work on packing and moving b/c we don't have puzzles or school to occupy our free time!
So the preparations of moving are on their way. We picked up a portable dishwasher this weekend that is 5 months old and the lady sold it to us for half the price she bought it so it was a deal! We are going tomorrow to get a stand alone kitchen pantry for $20! another steal! Everything is coming together quit well.
Only one road block that is now fixed, but I will tell you about it. On Saturday we dropped off our dishwasher and put it in the storage building. While we were there, I decided to look in the back window into our new place since 1. we didn't have a key to go inside I just had to look and 2. i wasn't thrilled the first time we went so I wanted to see the place from the perspective of this is where we are living instead of being upset that we had to move. Anyway, when I looked inside I asked Matt if he remembered seeing a fridge last time we were there. He said no and I said well there isn't one in there now. We called the landlord and needless to say we have to have our own fridge. Thank goodness Matt's parents came to the rescue! They have an extra fridge just sitting around and are bringing it to us next week!
Also I bought these nice boxes to store things under our bed! I am really excited about them. Yes, it is the little things people!
So the moving will happen next Tuesday. Also today I called to make arrangements for our utilities to be turned on at the new place on Tuesday...this means it is really happening. Pictures of the new place to come soon!

Happy Birthday...

to my wonderful, amazing, handsome, loving, caring, compassionate, hilarious, intelligent husband! I love him and am so thankful for him!
We celebrated Matt's birthday last night, since he had to be in class today from 8:30am -9:30pm. We had dinner at Pad Thai and dessert at Grater's Ice cream with 6 of our close friends, the Bevils, the Wootons, and the Thimons. We love those people!
Today I gave Matt season 2 of Doug and a t-shirt.

He's sad that he has to spend all of his birthday in class!

Other update: We will be moving on February 2, from 1 until we are done so if you are around and can help, please, please help!!!

The Stouts are moving...again...

We knew when we moved into the new home that we would have to move if the house was sold and the new owner wanted the whole house to live in. Well someone bought it and they want to use the whole house. So the first week of February we are moving out. We found out last Tuesday and it was a stressful week, but God provided a place for us! It is a little farther away (.7 miles) than we would prefer, but that just means we will get more exercise, esp. Matt who walks/rides his bike to work and school everyday. More info to come about the new house after we move. Prayers are appreciated!
Anyone else have exciting news?

I believe we have a problem!

So yesterday, Matt and I did our 4th puzzle in the last week and a day. We started out doing them to just spend time together, but now we like to see how fast we can get them accomplished and might I say we are finishing them must faster these days!

Also, isn't our Maggie so cute. She likes to lay on her back and let us rub her tummy! She really enjoys that! (Sorry about the husbands bare chest.)

What do we do when it snows...

Well we invite 5 year olds who do not have school due to snow to our house for monopoly and...Hot chocolate!
(This is Raya, one of the girls I keep on weekday mornings.)

We also go out and take pictures of the loveliness!
This is the front of our home.

We also watch our doggie run inside b/c it is entirely too cold for her. Poor girl can't even go potty without her bottom getting frozen as she sits in the snow to do her business! TMI, huh?

We look at our pumpkin that we got back in October to carve and never did. Poor pumpkin!

And finally...we see if we can break our puzzle records. So far during this winter snow we have done 3 puzzles since last Saturday and...drum roll please...we finished this puzzle in 4.5 hours last night. Yep, that's right people we finished a puzzle in one day. We started at 5:30 last night, took a 1 and a half hour break, and then finished at 12:05 am! I think we may have a problem...
a puzzle making obsession!

what we have been up to in the new year

Yep, puzzles again. We have done 2 since Saturday. I think that is a record. One done in 3 days and one in 2 days! I guess when we don't have school we find ourselves with lots of extra time!

Also, we have been playing with Maggie of course! We love her and are enjoying spending time playing instead of doing school work. So here are some pictures of Maggie and her new flying squirrel that she got for Christmas.

She's so pretty!
