Easter 2011

We had such a wonderful Easter. Matt had Good Friday off so we got to have a 3 day weekend and it was fun filled! Friday, we went and got free coffee at Starbucks. Since it was also Earth Day Sbucks gave out free coffee if you brought your own mug. Then we went grocery shopping. When we got home we then watched a movie and it was wonderful just spending the day all together.
Saturday, we had lunch with our friends the Daughtry-Grubbs and then dyed eggs.

Matt was very excited about egg dying

This is what Ruthie did while we dyed eggs. She is just a little too young, but I think next year she might be able to enjoy it a little.
And this is what Maggie did. We all were around the table like one big happy family!
Here are our 11 eggs. one busted open while boiling.

On Easter Sunday, we went to church, but it was very rainy. Therefore, no egg hunt for us so we just came on home after the service and had lunch with our friends, the Bevils. We had pork loin, green bean casserole, potato salad, rolls, deviled eggs, and punch bowl cake.

Here is Ruthie in her little Easter outfit including bonnet!
She did not care for the bonnet

We had a wonderful Easter weekend even with 2 tornado sirens (one Friday night at 7pm and one early Saturday morning at 2:30 am) and lots and lots of rain! Now, we must go back to life tomorrow, but only after getting to spend an amazing weekend celebrating our Risen Savior!

Bad News and Good News

My baby has gotten her first official ear infection/cold. We noticed yesterday that she was pulling on her left ear and being a little cranky so we took her to the dr. this morning and she does have an ear infection. It is actually her right ear that is in the early stages of the infection, but none the less she is sick. So we picked up the amoxicillian and now she is sleeping. We hope we caught it so early that it will clear up quickly.

Here are some pics of my sweet girl on the changing table. She lights up each time we lay her on the changing pad so I had to get some pics of it!

I also decided to do something that had nothing to do with babies so I made some cupcakes and decorated them. I need to work on the decorating part, but I think they taste pretty good!
Here is a pic of my 2 favorite people in the universe!
This was after we got home from the dr. and were fed and getting ready to take a nap. We were listening to Elvis Presley. My daughter loves Elvis and I am one happy Momma!
look at that beautiful smile!

Finally, Matt got a $10 off coupon from Cokesbury so we bought Ruthie a onesie for $3!
It is a 18 month onesie so it will be a while before she can wear it, but eventually she will be able to let the world know that she is indeed an Asbury Baby!
Finally, today we found out that Ruthie has definitely gained some weight. She is officially 10 lbs. We didn't take off her clothes and diaper so apparently those things were 5 oz. I'm very excited though that she has finally at 3 months old gotten to 10 lbs!

Ruthie is 3 months old today!

Ruthie's 3 month photo shoot:

Today, my baby Ruth turns 3 months old! I love this kid so very much and so does her daddy! and let's not forget her puppy, Maggie!

This month:
Ruthie still loves swinging, but now enjoys the bouncy seat as well.
Ruthie took her first trip to GA and met lots more family. Now she just has to meet Aunt Merry Anna and will have met all of our siblings.
According to the scale at the Seminary Post Office, Ruthie now weighs 10 lbs and 5 oz! That is 4 lbs more than her birth weight and that also means she has gained almost 2 lbs since last month. She is approximately 22.5 inches long now. She is just growing right along and we are so excited.
Ruthie has been going on outings a lot lately and she is so well behaved in public!
Ruthie eats about every 3 hours during the day still and at night she sleeps from around 8 to 11 and then sleeps again from around midnight to 6 am. Mommy and Daddy are feeling so much better now that they are getting so much sleep.
Ruthie is giggling and is ticklish on her sides, cheeks, and legs.
Ruthie's cheeks have gotten so chubby and we just can't help but squish, kiss, and tickle them all the time!
She loves having her diaper changed. Every time we put her on the changing table she gets excited and starts cooing and smiling. It is adorable.
Ruthie loves to have us sing to her still. Now she smiles so big, it makes her mommy so very happy!
Ruthie really loves being held all the time. It makes it difficult to get anything done, but I know that soon she will want to be on the move and not held, so I will keep holding her and do the housework and schoolwork later! Every Monday night when I go to class she seems to really want Matt to hold her and walk her around the house the whole time. I think he really likes it though.
We are just so happy to be Ruthie's parents and love her oh so much!

Now I'm going to go cut coupons while Ruthie sleeps!

Just hanging out

Not much new here at the Stout house. Matt and I only have about 4 weeks of classes left including finals! After that Matt has one class and I have one class and a practicum left before we graduate. We will both graduate in December and I know that the time will fly by!

On to what people really like, Ruthie.
Here Ruthie is sleeping. I just thought she looked cute so I snapped this one!

I came in to check on Ruthie one afternoon after her nap and this is what she was doing. She was all snuggled up with her taggie blankie and bunny. She wasn't making a sound, just laying there resting.
Ruthie is now a pro at holding her head up.
The Bevils came over for dinner. Here are the daddies and their daughters.
After Ruth takes a bath, she sports a curly fohawk. These pics DO NOT do it justice!

On Friday night Ruthie, Sophie, and Ebenezer hung out on the floor together during Small Group. Ebe is going to have a little brother join his family in June and so he is very excited (for the moment) about babies. We will see how he does once his little brother arrives. I think he will do great though!
That would be Ebe's hands behind Ruthie's head.
The Girls
Ebe kept leaning down and kissing the girls on the forehead. It was adorable!

Lately, we have been going on lots of outings. Here Ruthie is getting ready to go to church in her strawberry dress.
Then after church we went to Cracker Barrel.
Finally, a cute pic of Ruthie sleeping. I just love her so!

Check back tomorrow for Ruthie's 3 month photo shoot!
Yep, she will be 3 months old tomorrow!
