30 weeks Pregnant with Olivia

Here we are- 30 weeks pregnant. I can't believe it. Baby Olivia is around the length of an english cucumber and the size of a head of cabbage. I am having lots of indigestion and having to go to the bathroom A LOT! I am also nesting. We returned from church and I just had to wash the car seat cover and the high chair cover. I also made a very long list last night of all the things that need to be done before Olivia arrives. There are approximately 22 things to do before baby arrives, but 2 are done washing and just need to be returned to the car seat and high chair.
I had to remove my rings this weekend (probably 2 or so weeks too late). I am starting to waddle and feel very large these days! I am still tired, but have gotten a few bursts of energy along with the nesting. Hoping this next week I can get at least 1/4 of the list completed!
We are also looking for someone to take our maternity and newborn pics. We sure do miss our photographer from KY- Stephanie Lyell. If you are still in KY and need photos please contact her b/c she is amazing. I am sure we can find someone talented to help us with these pics!
Anyway, we are just so ready to meet our newest little addition to the Stout household. Just under 67 days until due date! Woohoo! Who knows maybe baby will decide to arrive just a few days early! A woman can dream right?

Olivia's room, Ruthie the Ballerina, and Our 5th Anniversary!

Ruthie dressed in her Ballerina dress for Church.
She received this dress on her 1st birthday, but it is just now fitting. Thanks Emily (and family) for the cute little ballet dress! She is so busy these days that I had a hard time getting a picture, but some turned out ok.

Running inside the church b/c that is her favorite place these days.

Next are a few pictures of Olivia's room. It was purple and we painted it Butter yellow. Then you will see song bird decals and her letters that were put on the wall. Enjoy!

Next, we went our for our Anniversary! Yes, we enjoyed ourselves! We had a friend come to babysit Ruthie and we headed out to eat at Crabdaddy's. We both got the crab soup and steaks. It was awesome! We then went and walked down near the pier and sat on a bench for an hr or so enjoying the fact that we did not have to take care of and chase a 20 month old. We just sat and talked and relaxed! Then we headed over to a coffee shop on the Island called "Wake Up". We heard great things and were not disappointed. It was a relaxing atmosphere and the coffee was delicious! I had the chilled turtle mocha and Matt had the chia latte. We highly recommend both. We decided to opt out of presents this year due to the upcoming arrival of baby Olivia, but we sure did enjoy our dinner and coffee and the quality time alone together!

Obligatory Anniversary picture- Thanks, Matt Stout!

Ruthie Turns 20 Months Old!

This month has been the most eventful month of Ruthie's life. I don't even think she understands what has been happening, but it has been a crazy one.

Here she is in her little tutu dress from Emily Rozsa (and family). She finally can fit into it after 8 months!

Here she is dancing in the car on the way to TN for Granddad Stouts funeral...you love to dance especially to Elvis and Beyonce!

Here is our silly girl in the tub. This month she has decided she loves shoes and that little pink blob at in front of her in the tub is her crocks. She wore them in the bath tub. They needed to be cleaned and she refused to take them off so momma let her wear them. (I know...mom of the year award here!)

Boy does this girl love her ice cream. Here we are at Ignana's restaurant where if you clean your plate you can have complimentary ice cream. Ruthie ate 2 shrimp, a handful of fries, and 4 pieces of brocoli so she got her ice cream!

Here Ruthie is climbing to play with the light switch

Family picture taken by our friend Jocelyn at the Shrimp and Grits festival last weekend. It was so much fun and such great food. Plus we got to spend the day with our friends, the Lees.

Labor Day weekend, Rusty came to visit. Rusty is a friend of ours from Valdosta State. He was also in our wedding (5 years ago today). Uncle Rusty needs to come visit again since Ruthie and him became best of friends over the weekend!

Daddy bought Ruthie a balloon. Yes it is a 1st birthday balloon and no it isn't her birthday. He said they were walking by the balloons and she pulled on it and kept hold of it. He just couldn't take it away from her. Apparently, he has her wrapped around his little finger!

Ruthie coloring on the paper, but sometimes she colors on the walls and doors and then she does to time out.

Bath time again. She likes laying in the tub on her tummy these days!

Climbing on the couch is one of her favorite things and this time she climbed on daddy.

Eating her mac and cheese after a crazy day of seizures and hospitals.

Headed to Nana and Papas and eating her foot...we need more food and games for our trips apparently!

Ruthie has started making "lists" like momma does. There isn't anything there, but she does write stuff and then stop and think and then begin writing again. Makes this momma so happy!

Ruthie climbed in her chair in her room and started reading a book. She takes so much after her daddy!

At the beach!

On the porch with Papa after a long, rough few days!

At the hospital...

Drinking Momma's coffee- it was empty by this point!

This month:
Ruthie loves to climb and therefore has spent lots of time in time out when she climbs where she is not allowed, like the end table or the back of the couch.
Ruthie loves to color and finally has quit eating them (as much). She also writes on the walls and then has to help clean and then go to time out.
Ruthie had a seizure that sent her to the hospital. It was the scariest moment of momma and daddy's life!
Ruthie lost her great Granddad Stout and her great great Grandmother Mynatt. She did get to spend some good time with both of them before they passed and we have lots of pictures to show her later when she is older!
Ruthie loves raisins and grapes now along with bananas!
Ruthie loves dancing to any music and clapping along too! it is so cute to watch her shake her little booty!
Bath time is more fun these days than ever before. Ruthie loves laying in the tub on her tummy and splashing in the bubbles!
Ruthie also loves reading all the time! and making lists! She sure does make her parents happy!
Ruthie loves shoes and purses, and jewelry. We have a little girl people and she is all about girl stuff! She will wear shoes and a diaper around the house. She likes to change out shoes ever little bit too and likes to take a purse with her on our outings!
Ruthie has moved to one nap most days.
Ruthie loves giving momma and daddy hugs, kisses, and high fives. She also loves pushing momma and daddy's heads together to get them to kiss. It is always during our bed time routine. So while it probably is a tactic to get us to let her stay up a little longer, it is still the sweetest and cutest thing she does to date!

Ruthie you are going to be a great big sister! You are just so loving and I am sure you will love your little sister! Momma and daddy are so proud of you and all the words you can say/understand! While you have your moments where you do not follow directions, you really are a joy to parent! We love you so very much sweet baby!

Only 12 Weeks Left!

It feels like this pregnancy has just flown by. We are in week 28 starting today! Olivia is the size of an eggplant this week according to The Bump.
Tomorrow, we have some friends coming to help paint Olivia's room a beautiful shade of yellow called Butter (said in a Paula Deen accent of course). I have made the mobile, a canvas with Olivia's verse, and her letters to hang. We also got a vinyl decal to put on the wall that looks like this:
I'm sure by the end of the weekend there will be plenty of pictures.
We also plan to paint Ruthie's room eventually. It is white and just isn't quite the right color for our spunky little girl. We will be painting her room back to the color it was in KY- Green Grapes! I am very excited. The paint has been bought and now we just have to find another free weekend before I get too big to paint it!

We also got Olivia's coming home outfit. Matt picked out Ruthie's and I thought it would be special if he did that for Olivia too and so that is what we did today after we got the paint and supplies.
Here it is:
Genuine Kids from OshKosh Newborn Girls' 2 Piece Tunic Set - Sour Cream.Opens in a new window

I'm not sure this picture does it justice, b/c it is even cuter than it looks. Then we found this:Circo® Newborn Girls' Short-Sleeve Bodysuit - Pink.Opens in a new window
Ruthie already has a Big Sister shirt so we got this for Olivia and it is just too cute!

Then this afternoon we over to St. Simons for Matt to go to a meeting so Ruthie and I did this:

And boy did she have fun with all that sand and the whole place to run with nothing in the way!

Then we went and got Daddy from his meeting and went to a place on the island for dinner called Iguanas. I was excited about the shrimp b/c we had heard such great things. Well, little did I know how much better this place was going to be b/c then they gave us COMPLIMENTARY ICE CREAM with our purchase of dinner. Everyone who comes in and eats gets complimentary ice cream. I love ice cream and so this made me very happy and so was Ruthie:

She had vanilla with sprinkles and strawberries, but only after she cleaned her plate of 2 shrimp, some fries, and some brocoli. She was so good!

As for now, I had my ice cream, but I am cutting my carbs due to my 3hr glucose test being just a little too high for the dr. even though I didn't fail the test. I did so great all week that I let myself have a few shrimp, some fries, brocoli, and ice cream. Ruthie is a big eater so she did great at making sure my portion was small!

Also, as of now we are those parents who have a screaming kid. I apologize to any of those parents who could not control their child while in the store. I am sooooooo sooooooo sooooo sorry for my judgment! Today my kid screamed through most of Lowes. She just thinks it is funny to scream in a high pitch. She just keeps going no matter what and smiles through it! She is so silly and I am now "that parent".

That's about it for now. Look for pictures coming soon of Olivia's room! We are very excited to meet our little one soon! Woohoo!
